The digital, multi functional Brother MFC-8820D Laser Fax 
Machine can perform as a printer, copier, fax and colour scanner, making it a highly recommended machine for any every office. With built in PC Faxing, the data compression system consists of MH, MR, MMR and JBIG. This Super G3 compatible fax machine has a reception memory capacity of up to 500 pages and a transmission memory capacity of up to 500 pages.
This laser fax machine with automatic duplex printing technology prints on both sides of the media. It comes with a printing speed of up to 17ppm. It supports HQ 1200 (2400×600 dpi) as the maximum printing resolution. The standard memory of this machine is 32 MB and it supports up to a maximum of 160 MB memory. The printer drivers are PCL 6, PostScript 3, PCL 6, PostScript 3 and Windows GDI driver.

The scanner in this device can scan both colour as well as black and white documents at a resolution of 600 x 2400 dpi. The grey scale depth supported is 8 bit and the colour depth supported is 48 bit and 24 bit.
The documents can be faxed with this multi functional machine at a speed of 33.6Kbps. The fax resolutions are 203 x98dpi, 203 x 196 dpi and 203 x 392 dpi. The supported media type is plain paper and has a standard paper capacity of 300 sheets. It has a document feeder capacity of 50 sheets and the output tray capacity is 150 sheets. PC connectivity is available and parallel and Hi-speed USB ports are provided. Fax forwarding and automatic redialling features are included.
